EASTER EGG HUNT OUTREACH EVENT
A committee is being formed to plan a community outreach event in April. This event will be an Easter Egg Hunt to be held at the church for the children and their families here in our community. To help make this event a success we need to form a team of people interested in this outreach. If you can be a part of this planning team contact Stacie Schweitzer . Our first meeting will be on Monday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m.
DEEPER LIFE WOMEN�S RETREAT
The Deeper Life Women�s Retreat will be held in Frankenmuth on November 7th & 8th. The keynote speaker is Carol Kent. The early registration deadline is this Tuesday, September 30th. The church has
reserved a block of rooms at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. Please contact Stacie Schweitzer if you need a room or a registration form.
2009 BUDGET REQUESTS
A reminder to all department heads - be sure to turn your department�s 2009 budget request in to Shirley Kanaby by this Friday, October 3rd.
COATS FOR KIDS
Our church is a collection drop off point for �Coats For Kids.� If you would like to donate coats, gloves, hats, snow pants, etc. there is a container located next to the exit doors in the church lobby.
MISSIONS FAIR
Our annual Missions Fair is planned for Saturday, October 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Missions
Fair will feature a craft sale, a bake sale, and a silent auction. A luncheon with homemade soups, breads, and a brownie/ice cream dessert will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All proceeds from the Missions Fair go towards mission projects. In a few weeks from now some of the items that will be for sale at the Missions Fair will be displayed in the church foyer. A beautiful antique quilt made by our W.M.I. ladies is one of the items that will be sold through the silent auction. On the day of the Missions Fair, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., you may bid on the silent auction items of your choice by writing your name and the amount of your bid on the forms provided. The silent auction items will be sold to the highest bidder as of 1:00 p.m. on October 25th.
DONATIONS NEEDED FOR THE MISSIONS FAIR
For our Missions Fair to be a success we need donations of baked goods, craft items, quilts, wall hanging, and canned relishes. Be thinking about what you can donate to the Missions Fair
COLLEGE STUDENTS ADDRESSES
We would like to have on file in the church office the addresses of all of our college students. If your son or daughter is a college student please turn in to the church office his or her college address.
PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
A new piece of equipment that is on the daycare playground is a small tree house. This small tree house is built for children ages 9 months to 2 years old. We are asking that children over 2 years old not play on it. If older children play on the small tree house it will break and the younger children will not have anything to play on. This piece of playground equipment cost a lot of money so we are trying to keep it in the best shape we can. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
