TODAY – 11:15 a.m. CHOIR PRACTICE BEGINS

Anyone who likes to sing is welcome to be a part of the Adult Choir as we are always looking for additional choir members.  Practices will be held on Sundays at 11:15 a.m.

All 9th graders through 12th graders are invited to join us at the church for the Bad Axe Area Youth Group Kick Off which includes fun and food.  The Youth Group leader is Andrew Sutton and his support team includes Pastor David Castle and Coleen Sutton.

-Parents Of Newborns Through Elementary Age Children (Topic Is “The

            W.M.I. room on the west wing of the church)

-Ladies Bible Study (Topic Is “Open Your Bible”) – led by Vicki Affholter

            (meets in the library)

-Adult Bible Study (Topic Is “Walking The Roman Road” – a study through

            the book of Romans) – led by Pastor Jerry Sutton (meets in the

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

This Sunday, September 12th Children’s Church will begin a new series on “The Parables.”  All children 3 years old through the 4th grade are welcome to be a part of Children’s Church which is held during the last half of the 10:00 a.m. worship service.

 

CELEBRATION SUNDAY ON OCTOBER 3RD

October 3rd is Celebration Sunday!  On that day there will be no 8:30 a.m. worship service.  To begin the day we invite you to participate in a prayer walk in your neighborhood.  During the 10:00 a.m. worship service we will have a special program by our Worship Team and a baptism service.  Following the worship service there will be a chicken barbecue/potluck meal plus pie will be served.  Be watching for more details in next week’s bulletin.

 

BAPTISM SERVICE

A full immersion Baptism Service will a part of the worship service to be held on Celebration Sunday, October 3rd at 10:00 a.m.  If you are interested in being baptized contact the church office (989-269-8664).

 

2022 BUDGET REQUESTS

A Note For All Of Our Department Heads:  The Finance Team is requesting that you turn in a written 2022 budget request no later than Sunday, October 10th (note the change in date).  You can turn your budget request in to Sandy Bublitz who is our church treasurer.

 

MISSION MOMENTS

This week be in prayer for the Free Methodist mission work in Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Cambodia, Jordan, Brazil, and Hungary.  Also be in prayer for the SEED ministry.

 

SEPTEMBER MISSIONS PRAYER GUIDE

Copies of the Free Methodist World Missions September Prayer Guide are available on the table in the church foyer (between the two sets of doors).  Feel free to pick up a copy of this missions prayer guide.

 

CHURCH GREETERS

Wanted:  Friendly, smiling faces to greet worshipers for the 8:30 a.m. and the 10:00 a.m. worship services.  You would need to come about 15 minutes before the start of the worship service to hand out bulletins and welcome visitors, guests, and the church family.  You would also need to fill up the candy baskets with mints.  On the podium in the church foyer there is a greeter sign-up sheet for the month of September.

A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held this Tuesday, September 14th from 12:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Bad Axe Knights of Columbus Hall.  To schedule an appointment to give blood call
